Abdominal Surgery

Our surgeons treat a wide variety of abdominal conditions, and perform procedures on most organs and structures within the abdominal cavity. Laparoscopic surgery is used when appropriate.

Breast Care / Breast Cancer Surgery

Providing state of the art, evidence based care for patients who have, or are suspected of having breast cancer is a cornerstone of our practice. We are committed to rapid diagnosis and prompt application of the newest procedures including vacuum-assisted biopsy and sentinel node biopsy for accurate diagnosis and staging. A sentinel lymph node biopsy is the removal and testing of the sentinel nodes’ lymph tissue. The sentinel nodes are the lymph nodes to which cancer would spread first. Vacuum-assisted biopsy takes several tissue samples with just one probe insertion. The procedure allows for more accurate diagnosis with virtually no scarring and can be completed in less than one hour.

Digestive Surgery

We are committed to the safest, least invasive approach appropriate. Our surgeons treat conditions of the digestive tract including esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, rectum, and anus. They also treat surgical disorders of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and biliary system.

Endocrine Surgery

We offer consultation and treatment for surgical disorders of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands.

Surgical Care of Cancer

Depending on the cell type of the cancer and the organ or structure involved, the surgeon's role in cancer care can vary greatly. The physicians and staff believe in a team approach to the diagnosis, treatment, and follow up of patients and families affected by cancer.

Surgical Care of Trauma

We work with Grand Strand Medical Center and our local emergency medical response team to care for surgical, multi-organ system and orthopedic trauma patients. Our trauma surgeons take care of you in the hospital until you are stable.
